In this passage, the best arguments against Jesus are presented as the pressure and opposition builds against him. When questioned about the Sabbath, Jesus shows that he is Lord of the Sabbath and of the principalities and powers when he heals one man and casts a demon out of another. The crowds show their amazement as the Pharisees conspire against Jesus and plot to kill him. Matthew continues to argue his "case" that Jesus is indeed who he says.
