I Peter 5:8-5:11

Prepared for Spiritual Realities

Many Christians make the mistake of believing that when they're saved, they become immune to the attacks of Satan. Nothing could be further from the truth! As a matter of fact, we're MORE prone to his attack simply because of his desire to damage the cause of Christ. We're going to study First Peter chapter five, verses eight through eleven today.

  1. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
  2. Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
  3. But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
  4. To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
