Romans 6:3-6:7

Freed From Sin

All too often in our own lives sin is treated as a cream puff rather than a rattlesnake. Sin will kill you, so let's see how we can be dead to sin. Today on Bridging the Gap Pastor Lloyd Pulley returns to his study of Romans. In chapter six, we see that we can either be yielded to sin or yielded to God. There is no middle ground, and the choice is yours.

  1. Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
  2. Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
  3. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
  4. Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
  5. For he that is dead is freed from sin.
