Romans 6:8-6:11

Alive Unto God

If you took a survey of Bible scholars and pastors, and asked them which book of the Bible was most important for the believer to read, Paul's epistle to the Romans would receive a significant number of votes. It's rich with insights on living a life pleasing to God, and that should always be the goal of the Christian. Today we'll continue our look at chapter six of Romans as we study verses eight through eleven.

  1. Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:
  2. Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.
  3. For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.
  4. Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
